Boston

Passar o fim de semana na cidade de Boston é realmente sensacional. A arquitetura da cidade mostra a influência dos Ingleses. Sem falar nos museus que estão entre os melhores do mundo como o Museum of Fine Arts e o Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Mas a história não pára por aí. Ela está em toda parte, especialmente ao longo do famoso trajeto da cidade, o Freedom Trail, que refaz a trajetória de Boston colonial, quando a cidade lutava por liberdade e independência.
Pelo que pude perceber, Boston é uma cidade extremamente orgulhosa de seu passado. Afinal, a Revolução Americana começou lá. Os parques são incríveis. A exemplo do Park Street.
Existem mais de 100 faculdades e universidades na área metropolitana, dando um ar jovem à cidade. Não fazer compras em Boston é quase impossível. A Newbury Street, lembra um pouco a quinta avenida de Nova York. Cheia de lojas famosas e restaurantes com cozinhas típicas de várias nacionalidades. Alguns dos bairros mais famosos para turistas são Waterfront, Downtown/Financial District, North End, Chinatown/Theatre District, Back Bay e Beacon Hill.
A cidade é quase toda cercada de água. Foi fundada por antigos colonizadores americanos em uma pequena península junto à Enseada de Boston, que faz parte da baía de Massachusetts e do Oceano Atlântico. Do lado oeste, Boston faz fronteira com o famoso Rio Charles, que separa a cidade de sua vizinha, Cambridge.
Boston é uma cidade segura, mas como qualquer cidade grande, você deve ter alguns cuidados. Não faça como eu que deixei o carro destracado, com laptop, câmeras e outros pertences dentro! :s
