O dia 20 de janeiro de 2009 ficou para história. A posse do homem que o mundo depositou suas esperanças. Cerca de dois mihões de pessoas estavam em frente à Casa Branca para presenciar esse momento inédito. E mesmo com o frio abaixo de zero, Washington parou por vinte minutos para ouvir o discurso do homem mais poderoso do mundo.Barack Obama, filho de imigrante e negro venceu paradigmas e assumiu hoje um tremendo problema após os oito anos da era Bush. No início da campanha não sabiam nem pronunciar seu nome. Ele chegou a ser confundido com o terrorista Osama Bin Laden, sendo chamado por uma rede de televisão americana de Barack Osama. Hoje, ele é sinônimo de esperança para o país que enfrenta uma das piores crises econômicas dos últimos anos.
O 44º presidente eleito dos EUA, começa a governar com cinco prioridades: a economia, o fim da guerra no Iraque, a saúde pública universal, a segurança do país e a recuperação da liderança mundial.
Além disso, a expectativa dos imigrantes indocumentados. Muitos pensaram em voltar ao Brasil quando o país começou a declinar, mas com a vitória de Obama decidiram arriscar e ficar por mais um período.
A maioria acredita que ele fará uma anistia em breve. Mas primeiro, deve arrumar a casa que está uma verdadeira bagunça, para depois pensar em legalizar os imigrantes ilegais. Caso contrário, o povo americano pode se voltar contra ele. Afinal, há quem diga que os imigrantes tiram os empregos dos americanos. Não concordo e não acredito que as vagas que eles ocupam como faxineira, garçon, motorista de táxi, baby sitter ou qualquer outro trabalho doméstico, seja almeijado pelo americano.
Vale ressaltar o alívio foi ver o ex-presidente George W. Bush subir no helicóptero e ir se refugiar no seu rancho no Texas. Um programa de Tv brasileiro fez o seguinte comentário: “Bush está indo agora com a família descansar na sua propriedade... e que ele descanse em paz, com o perdão do trocadilho”.
Mas enfim, espero que no fim tudo se ajeite e que a grande potência mundial volte com força total em breve. E não podia deixar de comentar o fato do novo presidente do Estados Unidos da América ser canhoto, como eu! Ele é realmente um homem de esquerda! Ha!
